The Movie

Serving as a sort of racial Short Cuts, writer/director Paul Haggis' Crash is a soulful, compelling and flawed ensemble drama that showcases some stellar performances but ultimately strays into didacticism � it's raw, it's darkly funny and it's certainly provocative, but the occasional missteps keep this film from truly achieving greatness.

HERE IS A REVIEW BY ME OF THE PILOT FOR SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES

I thought the show was going to have a lot less action then the movies did but I was wrong it has the same amount of action in the tv show than in the movies. It starts out strong and finishes strong and the characters who play the mom and son play them perfectly. They need to bring in Arnold though to make it a lot better. I see this show probably getting one season then getting canceled though because once the first few episodes happen everyone will get sick of the concept of the terminator and then stop watching hopefully I am wrong though because fox is canceling a lot of their shows that just started and I really like the concept of the terminator into a tv show since the movies were to short in my opinion.

The criminals wish to free a drug baron being extradited to America for trial by holding the airport to ransom until they all safely escape on another plane. HERE IS A REVIEW FOR THE MOVIE DIE HARD 2 FROM DVDTALK

There have been three "Die Hard" films already and I feel that "Die Hard 2" is the one that's most effective. In the first film, Bruce Willis's character John McClaine saved hostages from a skyscraper. The first film definitely had its share of great scenes of suspense, but there was a certain simple nature to the McLaine character as well as the script. There's no denying it's a classic in the action genre, but who says you can't improve on a classic? This film stars Willis as McClaine yet again as he waits for his wife to land at Washington's Dulles airport. Yet again, evil is conspring all around him and a group of terrorists are planning to take over the airport to make it safe for an imprisoned drug-trafficer to land so they can free him. There was of course a certain terror to having fights take place at 100 stories up in the first film, but there's an intensity and a momentum to this film that more than makes up for it. Willis has some great action scenes, and we get some quicker, slightly better dialogue. There's also some good supporting performances by Dennis Franz and others.

HERE IS A REVIEW OF THE MOVIE NEXT FROM DVDTALK

Oh, there's no doubt here; "Next" is as idiotic a high-tech thriller as one could probably imagine. However, there's this irksome playfulness to the whole production that I really took a shine to. It's an awful film, but I couldn't bother to be bored with a creation this fixated on entertaining.

Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) was born with the amazing mental gift to be able to see two minutes into the future and explore every possible outcome of his actions. Haunted by this power, Cris lives a simple life as a magician in Las Vegas trying to keep out of harm's way. When the American government gets wind that a terrorist group is planning to detonate a nuclear device in Los Angeles, agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) looks to capture Cris and use him to help thwart disaster, shoving the reclusive man and his newfound lady love (Jessica Biel) into the enemy's crosshairs.

HERE IS A REVIEW OF THE MOVIE GRIM REAPER FROM DVDTALK

The Movie:

Rachel (Cherish Lee) is an attractive young woman who works nights as an exotic dancer at a strip club somewhere in the bowels of a big, nameless city. She leaves work and calls her boyfriend, Liam (Benjamin Pitts), to let him know she's on her way home and they squabble a little bit. It seems he's heading off to his internship for medical school soon and wants to spend some quality time with her before he leaves. Unfortunately, she's working too much, claiming that his school is going to bury them in debt and that she has no choice. After she gets off the phone, she's suddenly struck by a cab. A strange man tells her to stay in the light, and she wakes up in a bizarre hospital.

After seeing the cab driver who struck her wheeled in on a stretcher, Rachel meets one of the nurses (Alice Ensor) and shortly after spots a massive, hulking, hooded creature (Adam Fortrin) killing the cabbie with a scythe. She flips out but the nurse assures her that she hasn't seen anything, that it's all in her head. Soon, Rachel meets Dr. Brown (Brent Fidler) who introduces her to a few of the other patients in this strange hospital where she's been confined – each of them may or may not have had a near death experience similar to her own. When the hooded figure begins to reappear, Rachel soon figures that it's the grim reaper out to get her, to take back the soul he feels is rightfully his – it seems she should have died and it was only because of the outside interference that she survived.
